From Heart to Heart, From Soul to Soul
Ruslan Zhyvokorintsev — International Choreographer, Dance Educator, Artistic Director, and Founder of Soul Dance
Dance has been at the center of my life for more than two decades. Through performance, choreography, education, and artistic direction, I have had the privilege of working with talented dancers, students, teachers, directors, and creative professionals around the world.
I am deeply and forever grateful to every person I have met along this journey.
My years with TODES and TED, my work as a choreographer and educator, and the creation of Soul Dance in Delray Beach, Florida, have each shaped the way I understand dance. Every experience has taught me that great choreography is not only about movement. It is about people, emotion, discipline, creativity, and connection.
At Soul Dance, my goal is to help dancers develop not only technique, but also confidence, individuality, and artistic expression. I believe a choreographer and educator has a responsibility to inspire the next generation and pass knowledge forward.
My work in mass choreography reflects the same philosophy: bringing individual dancers together to create one powerful artistic expression. My book, Mass Choreography as a System: Theory, Methodology, and Practice, continues this work by exploring choreography as both an art and a structured creative discipline.
But behind every performance, every choreography, every student, and every achievement are people.
That is why I believe the most meaningful part of a career is not simply what you accomplish, but whom you inspire and what you create together.
For me, dance has always been a language without words.
From heart to heart. From soul to soul.
And I am grateful to every dancer, student, colleague, mentor, and friend who has been part of my journey.
